Terms of Service

The Short Version

Klüg is a personal life management app provided by Klug Corp. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. Use Klüg responsibly, respect other people, and understand that the app is provided as-is during this beta period. If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use Klüg.

Who We Are

These Terms are an agreement between you and Klug Corp ("Klüg," "we," "us," or "our"). Questions about these Terms? Email gethelp@getklug.com.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Klüg, and at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to enter into these Terms on your own behalf. If you're between 13 and the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms for you. If you're adding household members who are minors, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and have authority to add their information to your household.

Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
You're responsible for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately at tiff@theklug.com.

Children and Minor Users

Age Requirement for Independent Accounts

Klug is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. Users under 13 are not permitted to create independent accounts on Klug.

If we discover that an independent account has been created by a user under 13, we will terminate that account and delete all associated data without notice.

Child Profiles — Parent and Guardian Responsibility

Klug provides parents and legal guardians the ability to create child profiles within their household account for the purpose of household action, upkeep and rhythm participation.

By creating a child profile, you represent and agree that:

You are the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom you are creating a profile
You have the legal authority to consent to data collection on behalf of the child
You have read and understood our Children's Privacy disclosure presented at the time of child profile creation
You consent to Klug collecting limited tracking data as described in our Privacy Policy on behalf of your child
You accept full responsibility for managing your child's profile and the activity within it
You will ensure the child profile is used appropriately and in accordance with these Terms

Nature of Child Profiles

Child profiles are not independent accounts. They are a feature within your parent or guardian account. The child does not agree to these Terms independently. As the account holder, you are solely responsible for the child profile and all activity associated with it.

Parent and Guardian Controls

As the parent or legal guardian, you maintain full control over your child's profile at all times, including the ability to:

View all information and activity within the child profile
Edit or update the child profile at any time
Delete the child profile and all associated data at any time through your account settings

Klug's Obligations Regarding Child Profiles

Klug agrees to:

Collect only the minimum data necessary to provide chore tracking functionality for child profiles
Never use child profile data for advertising or marketing purposes
Never share child profile data with third parties except as required by law
Honor parental requests to review, edit, or delete child profile data promptly
Maintain reasonable security measures to protect child profile data

Reporting Concerns

If you believe a child under 13 has created an independent account on Klug, or if you have concerns about child data on our platform, please contact us immediately at gethelp@getklug.com. We take these reports seriously and will respond promptly.

Beta Software

Klüg is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data loss during this period is unlikely, but could be possible during this period.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Klüg for anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive.
Upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
Upload content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, or that targets minors inappropriately.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that don't belong to you.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary algorithms from Klüg, except where permitted by law.
Interfere with or disrupt the service, its servers, or connected networks.
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access Klüg without our written permission.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Klüg or any portion of it without our written permission.

Your Content

You grant Klüg a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, and process your content for the sole purpose of operating and improving the service for you. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for backup copies that may persist for a reasonable period in our systems.

You're responsible for the content you put into Klüg. You confirm you have the right to share any content you upload, including content about other household members.

AI Features

Klüg uses artificial intelligence to suggest meals, summarize emails, draft priorities, and generate other helpful content. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. You agree to use independent judgment before relying on any AI-generated suggestion — especially anything related to health, nutrition, finance, legal matters, or safety.

Nutrition information, recipe suggestions, and similar AI output are estimates only and are not medical or dietary advice. Consult a qualified professional for any decision that affects your health.

We may use anonymized, aggregated patterns from how the AI features are used to improve the model and the product. We do not use your private content to train third-party AI models.

AI-Powered Booking Service

Klüg offers an AI-assisted booking feature that initiates voice calls to third-party service providers on your behalf ("AI Booking Service"). This feature is a convenience tool only. Klüg acts solely as a technology intermediary and is not a booking agent, travel agent, concierge service, or party to any appointment or reservation made through the platform.

All appointments, reservations, and service agreements are made exclusively between you and the applicable third-party service provider. Klüg has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the policies, practices, availability, or actions of any third-party provider.

Your Responsibilities

By using the AI Booking Service, you agree that you are solely responsible for:

Confirming all bookings directly with the service provider following any AI-initiated call.
Verifying all appointment details, including date, time, location, service type, and provider name.
Canceling or rescheduling appointments in accordance with the service provider's policies and within required timeframes.
Monitoring your calendar and appointments to avoid missed bookings.
Providing accurate information when initiating an AI booking request, including correct provider contact details, desired appointment parameters, and any special instructions.

Klüg strongly recommends that you independently confirm every booking before relying on it.

Limitations of AI Voice Technology

You acknowledge and understand that:

AI voice calls may contain errors in speech, interpretation, or information relay.
Service providers may mishear, misinterpret, or incorrectly record booking information communicated by the AI.
Bookings initiated by Klüg are not guaranteed to be accepted, completed, or accurately recorded.
Technical failures, network interruptions, or provider unavailability may prevent a booking call from completing.
Klüg does not receive real-time confirmation that any booking has been accepted or correctly entered by a provider.

The AI Booking Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranty of any kind.

Fees, Cancellations & No-Shows

Klüg is not responsible for any fees, charges, penalties, or losses arising from cancellation or no-show fees charged by third-party service providers, missed appointments due to booking errors or AI miscommunication, double bookings or scheduling conflicts, failure to cancel within a provider's required window, or any charges resulting from an incorrect, incomplete, or unconfirmed booking. All financial obligations to third-party service providers are your sole responsibility, regardless of the cause.

No Guarantee of Availability

Klüg does not guarantee that the AI Booking Service will be available at any given time, that calls will connect successfully, or that any particular provider can be reached via AI voice call. Klüg reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the AI Booking Service at any time without notice.

Acknowledgment

By using the AI Booking Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this section in its entirety. Klüg is a technology tool, not a service guarantor. Responsibility for all appointments and associated obligations remains with you.

Third-Party Services

Klüg connects to third-party services such as Google (Sign-in, Gmail, Calendar) and Microsoft (Outlook). When you connect a third-party service, you authorize Klüg to access the data described at the time of connection, and your use of that data is also governed by the third party's terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect any third-party service at any time from Settings.

Klüg may also link to third-party websites, products, or services. We aren't responsible for their content, terms, privacy practices, or actions.

Subscription & Billing

Klüg is currently free to use during the beta. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll give you advance notice and a chance to review the pricing terms before any charge. Continued use of paid features after the change will be subject to the then-current billing terms.

Intellectual Property

Klüg, including its name, logo, design, code, copy, graphics, and the underlying technology, is owned by Klug Corp and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Klüg in accordance with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property rights to you.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Klüg, we may use them without any obligation to compensate or credit you. You're welcome to keep using anything you came up with — we just want to be free to act on the feedback without negotiating each time.

Termination

You may stop using Klüg and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. We'll give you reasonable notice where possible. After termination, sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

Klüg is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klug Corp disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Klüg is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Any reliance you place on Klüg is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klug Corp and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, missed appointments, cancellation fees, or penalties charged by third-party service providers — arising out of or related to your use of Klüg, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or Klüg will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on certain warranties or damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Klug Corp harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use or misuse of Klüg, (b) your content, (c) your violation of these Terms, (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, or (e) any booking, appointment, fee, or obligation arising from your use of the AI Booking Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of Klüg after the change means you accept the updated Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page tells you when the current version was last updated.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Klug Corp agree to resolve any dispute first by contacting us at gethelp@getklug.com and trying in good faith to work it out informally. If we can't, the dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the state of Delaware, and you and Klug Corp consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Klug Corp regarding Klüg.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
Severability. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
